When I go to Goodwill I look for canvases that I can use to practice my painting on. I was given some gesso as a gift(thank you R.L.!) and I just use it to cover the old painting. Recently I found a canvas that had been preprinted that was 30″ by 38″ and I instantly knew what I wanted to put on it. So I bought it and brought it home. It is a good and common practice to create “rough drafts” of art before one starts on the actual product, so I made this! I have not yet started on the actual painting but this collage helped me to find the feeling and the image I was going for. My next step is to do thumbnails of my image to find the color scheme I want to use. After that I can go to work on the canvas. I can’t wait! ❤
I made this collage with a computer way back when I was in high school. It has always been a favorite of mine. I didn’t find out until many years later that there is actually music to go with it! ❤
Images and characters do not belong to me.
A collage I made at least a year ago when I was very into Belly Dance. ❤
I recently got myself some modge podge for paper and I made a random collage to test it out. I didn’t realize until it was done that I created a sort of narrative picture. I know how it related to my own life at the time I made it.
What do you think is happening in this image? ❤
Individual images do not belong to me. Please do not reproduce or take without my permission.
Another paper collage I made in my sketchbook. Another self portrait in a way. ❤
I do not claim any ownership to the individual images.
A little while ago I got myself a new sketchbook to kick start my new journey through art. Some of the first images in it were made by collaging images from magazines. Here is the first image I made. Perhaps it is something of a self portrait? ❤
I cannot claim to own the individual images, and since I don’t have the magazines anymore, don’t know who really owns them. They came from multiple sources.
Hello again! A few months ago a friend told me she was getting married and I was instantly inspired to design a dress for her. It wasn’t something she had asked for or had to choose, but I thought it would be fun anyway.
It was made with scrap book paper and magazine pages. I also added a few details with some gold gel pen.
Can’t you just see it as a fun fairy tale wedding dress? Complete with a castle? ❤
